The cost to vendors is essentially free. We charge a 3% credit card processing fee (wholesale) which is paid directly to the credit card processor. Hence, we don’t profit from transactions. Our platform handles the credit card processing for your vendors so they don’t need a merchant account and our team provides the onboarding support (no burden on the municipalities) and your vendors are free to use the platform as much as they like to boost their business during COVID and beyond.

The platform is provided on an annual license basis, funded either directly by your municipality, economic development corporation, tourism corporation or BIAs. Upon payment, we can have shopmytown.ca up and running in your municipality within days.
